Born in Haifa Israel, 1950.

PHD in Art History, from the Hebrew University Jerusalem.

 Ayana Friedman’s sculpture, video art and installations have appeared in numerous exhibitions throughout Israel, Europe and the United States.  Many of her pieces appear in museums and private collections in these countries.  She has written and lectured extensively about art for Israeli art journals and newspapers. Ayana Friedman is an “Artis Grant Recipient”, 2012

2013  Mordechai Ish-Shalom Prize for Lifetime Achievement in the Art.

2001  First Prize, Summer Exhibition, judged by Eitan Karp from the OK Gallery, Harris. Solo exhibit for recipients of the Gallery 402 Award.
